Joining a critique group is perhaps one of the most important
steps an author can take. A good group will help build a writer's
skills and prepare him/her for the road to publication. Here are
some on-line groups I have been a part of and can recommend.
Christian Young Adult Writers and
Readers (YAWR)
This group on Yahoo was founded by
Diana Sharples. It is specifically for
writers of Christian YA fiction, and we
occasionally have some young readers
who come in to help us out.
ChristianWriters.com offers an
open discussion forum for writers
and a separate critique section.
For writers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. This group is
perhaps the oldest, largest, and most respected online community
for writers of speculative fiction. Please note, this is a secular group.
