D. L. Sharples

Diana L. Sharples grew up in the suburbs of
Chicago, Illinois. From an early age she had a love
for stories and art. She drew pictures constantly and
wrote her first novel at the age of thirteen. After
discovering the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Diana pursued a career in the
fantasy genre, joining critique groups, taking college courses, and
affiliating herself with professional writers in the genre as a means of
learning about writing and book illustration.
Diana graduated from the Atlanta College of Art with a BFA in
communication design/illustration. She produced award-winning
paintings and drawings reflecting science fiction and fantasy themes.
Diana also co-founded and co-edited an online genre magazine,
Electric Wine.*
Diana accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in 2001. In 2005 she began
writing a series of contemporary Christian novels for young adults.
D.L. Sharples lives in Canton, Georgia with her husband of seventeen
years. They have one child, whose God-given gift is dance. Diana
attends a non-denominational church and occasionally plays percussion
in worship bands.
